View Full Version : Kain server moving to L2Reactor!
Hello,
I have been talking to Guido and some players about this. They asked us nicely to hand over the kain database and files, to reopen the server!
I have no problems with that at all. Guido and some of his friends are working on a new site called L2Reactor.com, they will start kain server in 24-48 hours, while they work on their own site. The whole plan is to keep Kain server alive and it wont be wiped.
Please note that kain would no longer belong to L2Blaze. Its full ownership is being handed to Guido and his team. They will be responsible for keeping it secured and updated. I will try to give them a hand when I have time.

Please note...
There will be a wipe on this Kain server...With some other changes as well...

could i ask guido if he can hear what is point of that ? how much much ppl online u lll hav e? is there anything wrong to give up database and other files?

The server can only hold about 50 max, and I am not running it. Guido loved Kain as many others have as well. So if he can continue to have fun I wish him best of luck.

This is true...but only because it will be a free server (costs us no money to host it)...If we start getting more people though, we will up the connection so more people could get connected...which is when it would start costing us money...

Lets see how it works out but considering how many ppl can be on there seems like the upload bandwidth will be a huge factor meaning there will be a lot of lag. but there are ways to fix that but we will see how it works out.

Thank you Fire for posting this and allowing me and the rest of my team to take over Kain. I see there are going to be a lot of questions towards us taking over Kain. We will have our forums up ASAP along with the website. If you have any questions please post them there at www.L2Reactor.com (after website is up). I really don't want to tie up Fire's forums with questions.
I used to run L2Reactor about a year ago with no lag issue's with about 30 to 40 players on the server. The server is located at my buddies shop in Oregon which is a computer shop. Mr.Fish (Josh) will be heading up all server related programming, Playa (Kyle) will be in charge of head GM. I myself will just be sitting back as a normal player and running the forums and hosting cool events on the server.
Once again, Thank you Fire, Amarie, Cephius, and the rest of the L2Blaze staff for this wonderful opportunity to reopen Kain.

and what rate have the server in l2reactor....
mine wasnt a question... : P ...but we are still descussing the rates...I plan on lowering them to like 20x...but again...still under descussion...and as guido mentioned...once we get our forums up and running...we will let everyone know what the rates and everything are...

im going as well, soon as its up that is.......i will be the test subject for the new kain, my task invilve getting pked and getting rolled by the gm staff 24/7 plus i will let them know if the jail is worthy ROFL :p nah im coming tho

I'm down to to come there also. I don't really care about the rates too much just as long as there is no npc buffer. I'll have to keep my Bartz toon so that I can still order sex from Amarie.

so you know...there will be a NPC Buffer at first...but with only basic prophet buffs (maybe VR too)...only reason for this is because since we can only hold so many people on our server...I dont want everyone to be 5 boxing taking up all our connections...if we start getting popular I will remove NPC buffer...

oh there can be some nasty things a GM can do in the server to you. some of which can be quite funny. but all are free to come and check things out.

GL kyle and guido with the srv... i know what means to have ur fav srv wiped and i am happy for u guys that u managed to take it over. i really wish that could happen 1 year ago to my fav low rates srv ...
Kyle im sure that as a Gm u will take care of all the girls ^^ ofc after u finish spam killing dallas :D

hey this is mr.fish, i am working on the server files, for now they will remain exactily as l2blaze. no rate changes, no wipe. untill such time that it becomes apparent the a wipe is required. The server it self will handle 300-400 player if not more but i am running it on a buisness class dsl line. its ping is decent but it doesn't have a lot of bandwith. 50ppl shouldn't be a problem. The forums should be up and running within 2 hours of this post, (they are uploading now). 1) If you wana wipe it, do it now. Dont make players play for few days or a month, then decide to wipe!! It will get them mad and keep in mind you will get many new players from google or topsites... These have no idea who you are and last thing they need is wipe, after few weeks of playing.
2) Remind me to hand over kain login database, I keep forgetting. No need for it of course if you decide to wipe.

If you are chaning things then it won't be Kain it will have some attributes that Kain had. The files was my work, and I hope you put it into good use, and wish you the best of luck.

Yes we do plan on doing a wipe right away...I dont want only the old players to have all the best stuff...so I will wipe it to make it fair...

As for other changes...I plan on trying to make everytoon usefull...Example: dwarfs and buffers...I will have only up to A grade in GM shop...and S and S80 will be craft only...Gear pieces will drop and spoil from certain mobs...GM shop will have basic mats for sale...Example: Animal Skin, Coal, Stems, Charcoal, etc...There will be a GM Buffer, but only will basic prophet buffs (and maybe VR)...just to help so not so many people dual-box...

If you are changing everything then why did you need the database? It doesn't make sense and a wipe as well...the only thing you guys got is my files for the gk and gm shop and updates to the database that l2jfree was missing such as weapon prices and such...I just don't understand the whole point....

We did our part and now its up to them whether to wipe it or not..etc
